The Youth Council of Barcelona propels a Bosnia working group created by promoting a Cultural Exchange next September.

CJB’s ‘Peace and Cooperation’ program has a strong engagement with Bosnia since 2016, when some of its members decided to create a working group to study the Balkans’ ethnic conflict from Barcelona.

The working group still exists nowadays, and it continues to organize discovery trips to Bosnia together with the Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR), based in the Balkans.

Besides the activities the CJB organizes in Bosnia’s capital city and in Barcelona, the European Memories Observatory has offered the working group to collaborate with a historical memory program focused on young people.

The outcome of this cooperation between the CJB and the European Memories Observatory is a new Exchange project that will take place next September in Bosnia.

There is room for 8 more exchange participants aged from 18 to 30. Moreover, for the September exchange you need to attend a previous training in July.

The working group meets once a month in Barcelona to share knowledge and discuss about historical memory. If you’re willing to take part in the exchange send your personal information and a your motivation to this email before June 29th.
