The World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) is organizing the World Scout Film Fest for members of the Rovers, aged 17 or above.

The aim of this event is to bring visibility to the task of scouting in facing challenges such as the refugee and migration crisis, climate change or gender equality. The minimum requirements to take part in this festival are that the stories told must be related to scouting and that scouts be involved in producing the short films.

The festival is open to productions that fit into any of the following categories:

Short film - Fiction (10-20 min)

Documentary (10-20 min)

Social media video (1-3 min)

Scouts from around the world aged 18 to 26 may participate. Videos can be submitted individually or in a group and in any language as long as they include subtitles in English.

The jury will include three world scouting representatives and two professionals from the film industry, and a prize will be awarded for each category. One representative from each winning team will fly to Malaysia in November to present their work to the audience at the World Scout Film Fest, at a very special event in Kuala Lumpur. Winners will receive a scouting material pack.

You may submit your projects until 31 August.
