The Capacity Building Conference will take place on 6-7 April 2017 in London at the City Hall.

Representatives from CEV member organisations from across Europe will gather together with UK-based stakeholders in order to consider the volunteering strategies that are needed in Europe at local, regional and national administration levels and how to design and implement them.

Workshop leaders and participants will share their experience and practice with a view to building capacity and developing a best practice guide for volunteering strategies. This guide should be useful across Europe by governments, local authorities, volunteer centres, volunteer organisations and companies.

The Volunteer Centre in Denmark, the Spanish Volunteering Platform, and Volunteer Scotland will present national case studies. Local experiences from past, present and future European Volunteering Capitals (London 2016, Sligo 2017 and Aahrus 2018) will also be shown.

Other organisations will be holding workshops focused on volunteering and sports (London Sport), active ageing (GLV and NCVO), culture (Croatian Volunteer Centers Network), inclusion of refugees and migrants (BBE), youth (Pro Vobis) and rural areas (Estonian Village Movement Kodukant).

The event will take place on 6-7 April in London at the City Hall.

Registration is free and the full programme is already available.
