The 14th edition of the European Sea Scouting Seminar (Eurosea) will take place in Barcelona from 5th to 9th September 2018, hosted by the Catalan Scouts and Guides Federation.
Ever since 1985, and every two or three years, the heads (instructors) of Sea Scouts from around Europe meet to participate in the European Sea Scouting Seminar ("Eurosea") to promote inter-personal and inter-association networks among scouts that mainly develop their activities in a marine environment.
These seminars serve to exchange best practices in safety and risk prevention, or to exchange ideas to organize international sea scouting projects.
The last of these seminars was held in Puck (Poland) in 2016 and the next edition of Eurosea will take place in Barcelona, this 2018. Hosted by the Catalan Scouts and Guides Federation, the seminar will be on 5th to 9th September at the International Sailing Centre of Barcelona.
This event is specifically for scouts. The registration for participants is already open and a campaign has been launched to get 20 volunteers (staff). The registration period will end on 30th June 2018, while people wanting to volunteer for the event could sign-up until 25th December 2017.
