The congress will take place on March 7 and 8 in Brussels and will include conferences about the future of volunteering and the general assembly.

The general assembly will be realized the first day of the congress from 14.00 to 18.00, accompanied by the 'INEAR' seminar which means Inclusion, Equality and Rights in Volunteering.

On 8 March, a conference dedicated to 'What’s new in Europe for volunteering in the next 10 years?' we will be host looking at  some specific aspects in more detail such as the call for a European Year of Volunteers in 2025, family volunteering, the proposed 'Platform for Older People volunteering in Europe' and the validation of learning acquired while volunteering with special emphasis on the role of volunteering infrastructure organisations in this process.

The colloquim will propose the family members as a learning process, a civil engagement method and a comunity development tool since it involves more than one person from diferent generations which could volunteer together.

New reports such as the 'Study on Volunteering Trends in Europe' from the EESC and the 'State of the World Volunteering Report' from UNV will be shared and discussed.

The seminar is supported by the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Volunteering (CERV) and Erasmus+ programmes. Volunteers and representatives of civil society organisations, municipalities, and EU institutions will participate. An update on the new European Validation Guidelines will also be presented.

The congress can also be followed online. Those who are interested and want to know more information and how to participate can find it here and sign up via this link before the February 28th.
