The second edition of the Global Local Forum is here

The Reds organization, in alliance with CIDEU, has launched the second edition of the Global Local Forum in Barcelona.

The Global Local Forum , organized by Reds in collaboration with CIDEU , will take place on October 19 and 20 in the Maria Aurèlia Capmany Room of the Pati Llimona Civic Center in Barcelona.

The Forum is an international space to share knowledge and experiences between human rights defenders , political representatives and technical people from local governments, networks of European municipalities and cooperation organizations to establish coordinated lines of action in the international defense and protection of Human rights.

This second edition is dedicated to co-responsibility and local political influence in the international protection of Human Rights. The subject will be addressed through conferences, round tables and dynamics of debate and collective construction of knowledge.

There will be the participation of people who defend human rights and the territory of Colombia, El Salvador and Guatemala, as well as representatives of local Catalan governments, representatives of European municipalist networks, and experts from the world of cooperation of Catalan organizations, from the State Spanish, Euskal Herria and Italy.

The forum aims to be a space for the exchange of knowledge and concrete experiences, to allow identification of advocacy strategies that can be carried out in a network in the face of serious human rights violations and to demonstrate the great impact that these actions can have in the international arena .

This event, which has the support of the Catalan Development Cooperation Agency (ACCD) , is part of the ' From the Global to the Local ' program run by Reds, whose main objective is to strengthen municipal competences Catalans in the international protection of Human Rights.
