Open Arms has different formats to do work on climate migration with children, teens, and youth.

Proactiva Open Arms launched the project Origen because many people rescued at sea expressed the idea that had they received more information they wouldn’t have embarked on the journey.

Six people have died as a result of the shipwreck of a small boat in the Central Mediterranean, one of them a six-month-old baby, who had been urgently evacuated by the ship of the Badalona-based NGO.

Paula Palacios, the film’s director, joins the NGO on a tough mission to tell a story about life and death on the deadliest migratory route on the planet.

‘Blue. What hides the horizon?’ is written both in Catalan and English and all the benefits go to the Spanish NGO Open Arms.

With the efforts of the NGO in danger, the founder, Òscar Camps, asks for help in order to face a definitive repair of the boat or to be able to buy a new one. Two economically unbearable situations in the current context.

Proactiva Open Arms has rescued more than 27.000 stranded migrants in Mediterranean Sea since 2016.

The three rescue organisations have created an alliance to rescue people out at sea, after the obstacles and criminalisation they have faced.
