The Obre't Ebre Association is one of the entities that promotes the SIDE project with the aim of improving job placement programs through an active learning methodology adapted to all contexts.

Susana Ibañez

President of the Obre't Ebre association and project coordinator of the entity.

Obre't Ebre is an organization located in Terres de l'Ebre, with headquarters in Roquetes. Its mission is to work for young people, from 14 to 35 years old, in the territory, using public international mobility programs as a tool that favors their socio-labor inclusion.

In this sense, and in order to improve the quality of the programs and services offered in the field of job placement, the entity cooperates with other European entities, creating new materials and methodologies aimed at the job placement of young people. In 2023 we started a project at a European level, with co-financing from the European Union , specifically the Erasmus program, with different social entities from Spain , Italy and Greece called SIDE . This project addresses the needs of creating and developing transversal tools for the implementation of a single educational method , which can be used by youth workers, educators and all those involved in youth job orientation, through an active learning methodology validated by all the partners who participate and who work in different contexts.

In other words, the project's mission is to strengthen and define, where necessary, the role of youth workers, increasing, through a synthesis of EU methodologies and tools, their day-to-day capacities, and offering the opportunity to empower young people on their path to employment inclusion , from the preparation phase (social inclusion path) to their insertion in the labour market (employment-oriented path). The presence of several European partners with different backgrounds is the basis for achieving inclusive and transferable results, adapted to the different territorial realities.

Therefore, this project offers support to partners and their youth workers in consolidating their experiences, through a sustainable methodology that can be applied daily to their services and also shared with other local organizations and institutions, creating a common working approach and a shared language that bridges formal and non-formal contexts.

Furthermore, active learning, which includes reflective methods, increases the participation of participants through dynamic and motivating experiences. This will help to close the training gap resulting from a purely theoretical approach, contextualizing the concepts, principles and tools learned in real situations, and allowing young people to immediately put the skills acquired during training to the test.

The project, which will end in September 2025 , will conclude with a presentation aimed at technicians, entities and professionals, based on the methodology and presentation of the different materials produced. Any interested organization will be able to receive the materials developed for use.
