The origin of the fire, which has forced the evacuation of 13,000 people living in the world's largest refugee camp, is unknown. Brussels has agreed to finance the immediate transfer of 400 minors to the continent.
These people lack access to safe sanitation and find it much more difficult to practice protection measures like the simple task of cleaning their hands frequently.
It is time to do what it takes, to be relentless in protecting the elderly, the vulnerable, those without a home to stay in, undocumented migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
