The World Volunteer Conference 2016 will take place in Mexico City from 7 to 10 November.
When I first started to volunteer at Big Local Revoelution just over two years ago, I was very timid and shy. Having social anxiety and bipolar disorder made me very isolated and I wouldn’t leave the house or even my bed for weeks at a time. From the first day I set foot in the Revoelution hub, I haven’t been away.
This is a special year for Shelter, 50 years since we were founded in 1966. From day one, we have campaigned passionately to ensure that everyone in this country has a safe, secure, affordable home. And from day one, research has been central to this.
