European Competition called for digital creativity to improve society

The European Youth Award (EYA) focuses on young entrepreneurs creating digital projects that bring improvements to society. The deadline for applications ends of 15th July.

Motivating young social entrepreneurs and start-ups to develop digital projects that will have a social impact. Year after year, this is the goal for the International Music + Media Centre, a non-profit organisation in Austria, regarding the European Youth Award.

The award encourages the centre to show its potential to create innovative solutions using Internet and mobile technology that adapts to the goals defined by the Council of Europe and Europe 2020, as well as the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Participants must be under the age of 33 and develop a digital project with a positive social impact. Applications must be submitted through this link by 15th July.

The contest has the following categories:

  • Healthy life
  • Smart learning
  • Connecting cultures
  • Go green
  • Active citizenship
  • Sustainable economics
  • Open innovation
  • Special category 2017: Water

The winners will participate in the EYA Festival, an event combining knowledge, innovation, networking, inspiration and motivation, to be held in Graz (Austria) from 29th November to 2nd December.
