We harness the power of influence of the arts and green entrepreneurship to raise awareness of environmental issues and encourage positive behavior change.

The arts as a strategy for social change are very powerful; a channel for awareness, education and ecosocial transformation. The European project A(rt)ction, in which the Interarts Foundation participates with the collaboration of the Animal Latitude Association, and from the Desperta (art and nature) project, "can be considered a solution born of the challenge to contribute to a more sustainable future. We harness the power of influence of the arts and green entrepreneurship to raise awareness of environmental issues and encourage positive behavior change."

A(rt)ction aims to encourage and strengthen young women's sense of initiative by promoting ecological entrepreneurship through creative learning, as well as educating young artists and youth workers so that they become true agents of change in the 'time to address the challenges of climate change at local, national and European Union levels.

In this context, the study plan 'Artists as green actors of change', was designed by each member of the consortium to meet the needs of young creative visual artists across the EU whose work is, or it has the potential to be, related to the environment and, therefore, the potential to raise awareness about environmental challenges. The curriculum for artists will soon be made available to the public through a digital platform.

Project Outcome 3 is the 'Artists for Climate Change' Toolkit designed to provide the essential practical elements to professionalize artists by developing their ecological entrepreneurship and providing them with professional advice on how to address climate change in through his work. Through a focus group session the thoughts and voice of artists and professionals will be captured for use as part of the campaign in the introduction of the Toolkit.
